- Why want to participate in UB515: "I like the challenge and the personal experience of ultra distance events. About an ultra distance triathlon in particular, I've always wanted to do one. After years of competing in Ironman events I'm looking into it for an event that makes me super excited again. When I think of ultra distance, I know this is it. UB515 2015 is special because it takes place exactly 30 years after I finished my first official triathlon and in almost the same place. April 1985 I did what was then called Selective Triathlon for Triathlon in Rio de Janeiro, starting in Pedra de Guaratiba and ending in Barra da Tijuca.In addition, UB515 is organized by some great friends who were important influences on mine athlete career, such as Alexandre Ribeiro, Marcus Ornellas and Armando Barcellos".
